Our program offers an exciting series of events that will provide members with the opportunity to learn about contemporary art and meet new people who share an active interest in art and collecting. Events are social, informative, and fun. Although events are exclusive to members, The Ministry of Artistic Affairs values diversity. All are welcome to join regardless if you are starting an art collection, have an established collection, or just have an interest in learning more about art.

What is The Ministry?
The Ministry of Artistic Affairs provides a unique insight into the art market by
curating a series of informative and interactive events exploring multiple facets of
the art scene.
Members access a program of events that include studio visits with rising and
established local artists, intimate visits with notable collectors, exclusive gallery
exhibition previews, film screenings, talks and panel discussions with published
art thinkers, and group art fair excursions.
The Ministry is a membership-based event series, that offers an exclusive,
informative and creative social environment for like-minded professionals to
network and explore the enrichment of collecting and supporting the arts.

What does my membership fee support?
Your support will help enable The Ministry to continue offering an exciting program of art events. The Ministry seeks to promote the arts in Toronto through social education. We hope you agree that that is a pretty worth while cause.
When does my membership commence?
Your membership begins the day you sign up and lasts for one year.
How often are The Ministry's events?
There will be at least 12 Ministry events per year at a rate of approximately one per month. New events will be added every month with at least three future events planned at all times. Events are generally on weeknights although there will be some weekend events throughout the year as well.
What are The Ministry's events like?
Ministry events will be casual and educational. The overall goal is to educate and inspire attendees to learn about art, develop the knowledge to build their own collections, as well as make new friends and acquaintances. Members have a chance to meet the artists, art dealers, authors, collectors, and others who help make each event happen. Members will find it easy to meet one another and network while discussing their shared interests in the visual arts over a bottle of beer or a glass of wine.
May I bring a guest to The Ministry's events?
Yes and No. Some events will be restricted to members only while other events will welcome guests accompanied by a member. Each event listing will provide information regarding guests.
Does it cost extra to attend The Ministry's events?
Sometimes. Members generally are allowed to attend events free of charge though some events will require an additional nominal fee. Information about the costs of all events will be clearly presented in advance with all information available online on the event listing.
What if I only want to attend a few Ministry events?
You are welcome to attend as many or as few events as you like.
What if I want to attend all Ministry events?
Since some events will provide exclusive access to collectors' homes or artists' studios, limiting the number of attendees is required out of respect for the generous people who are welcoming our group into their spaces. As a result, some events will have limited capacity and RSVPs will be required. As long as you successfully register you are welcome to attend as many events as you like.
Access will be provided based on first come first served RSVPs, so please be sure to register online or via email for events as soon as you know you are planning to attend.
What if I have feedback or an idea to bring forward?
We would love to hear your thoughts. The Ministry is always looking for new events for our calendar, so please do not be shy in making suggestions.
